Visitor Control Center Specialist

The Visitor Control Center Specialist is responsible for the issuance and revocation of employee badges and the management of visitor access to the Russell Knox Building. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills to effectively manage the flow of visitors and ensure the security of the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Issue and revoke employee badges, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Manage visitor access, including receiving, vetting, and processing U.S. and foreign national personnel.
- Operate the Security Management System (SMS) for badging and access control.
- Prepare and issue temporary government employee, contractor, and visitor badges, including entering relevant data into computer systems and maintaining accurate records.
- Conduct daily inventory and account for all badges, establishing and sustaining an effective tracking system for lost or stolen badges.
- Recommend corrective actions to prevent future losses or thefts.
- Enroll and disenroll employees and visitors into the DBIDS system, capturing necessary information and photographs as required.
- Assist with directing visiting personnel to their destinations, coordinating with visitor points of contact as needed.
- Active TS/SCI clearance required.
- Minimum of one year of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize tasks independently.
- Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications, including the Microsoft Office suite.
The Visitor Control Center Specialist will typically work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. During visits to areas of operations, the employee may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, as well as loud noise and airborne particles.
