In this role, you will be responsible for performing blood draws and other specimen collections. You will utilize your extensive knowledge of laboratory testing and collection procedures to ensure high-quality patient care. Additionally, you will serve as a resource for phlebotomists and lab assistants, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and competencies.
QualificationsShift: FULL TIME VARIED
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Completion of a recognized phlebotomy training program is required.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in phlebotomy is required. Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques, specimen processing, and customer service.
License/Certification:
Phlebotomy certification is required upon hire. Licenses such as Licensed Practical Nurse, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic may be accepted. If you hold national certification, you must obtain the appropriate state licensure within 6 months of hire.
Note:
Previous experience as a Lab Assistant, phlebotomist, emergency room technician, LPN, or paramedic with phlebotomy skills is preferred.
