Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced full-time veterinary technician to join our team. As a veterinary technician at Commonwealth Veterinary Hospital, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assisting veterinarians with medical procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Phlebotomy, assisting veterinarians with medical procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Obtaining radiographs, running in-house lab work, and setting up medications
  • Client education, follow-up communication, and phone triage
  • Assisting with reception/front desk duties as needed
  • Supporting and mentoring new team members
Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb, as well as manipulate up to 50 pounds and over 50 pounds with a coworker
  • Ability to work in noisy work conditions with sounds from animals and equipment
  • Good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate equipment
