Job Summary

The State Attorney's Office for the Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida is seeking a highly skilled and experienced financial and accounting professional to join our team as a Finance Director. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in finance, accounting, and budgeting, as well as excellent leadership and management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage all financial and accounting functions, including budgeting, payroll, contract records, general ledgers, cash receipts, procurement, and accounts payable.
  • Develop and implement financial and accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and budget recommendations to senior management and the State Attorney.
  • Manage and supervise a team of financial and accounting professionals, including grant managers and fiscal assistants.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial and accounting operations.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in finance/accounting and four (4) years of professional accounting or financial experience, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
  • A master's degree and three years of professional accounting or financial experience, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; or Possession of a C.P.A. certificate and three years of professional accounting or financial experience, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
