Job Title: Finance Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to join our team at My Florida Corp Defunct. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising all business functions of the State Attorney's Office, including directing, planning, and organizing all finance and accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise personnel in the preparation and review of accounting functions, including budgeting, payroll, contract records, general ledgers, cash receipts, procurement, and accounts payable.
  • Maintain compliance with internal accounting procedures and controls, and assist in planning, directing, and coordinating the accounting for state funds, single county, or multiple county funds.
  • Assist in preparing contracts with other state, local or federal agencies, and preparing operating and legislative state and county budget requests.
  • Direct and coordinate the preparation of periodic budgets, financial reports, and other related documents of a complex nature.
  • Supervise the preparation of all vouchers being transmitted for payment.
  • Supervise personnel, including a grant manager and fiscal assistants responsible for travel, due process purchases, and payroll.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in finance/accounting and four (4) years of professional accounting or financial experience, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
  • A master's degree and three years of professional accounting or financial experience, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; or Possession of a C.P.A. certificate and three years of professional accounting or financial experience, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
