As a proud member of the Elevance Health family, Carelon Behavioral Health, formerly known as Beacon Health Options, provides exceptional clinical management for mental health and substance use disorders, along with a comprehensive employee assistance program, work/life support, specialized programs for autism and depression, and insightful analytics aimed at enhancing care delivery.
We seek candidates with experience in mental health, substance use disorders, crisis assessment, and referrals to support the New Hampshire Rapid Response Access Point Crisis Line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound calls, texts, and chats from individuals who may be experiencing a crisis.
- Conduct safety screenings and assessments to evaluate the level of risk to the individual or others.
- Utilize information gathered during interactions to accurately assess the individual's needs and collaboratively develop a plan of action.
- Document interactions promptly and accurately in accordance with established guidelines.
- Provide follow-up linkage as necessary to ensure individuals access required services.
- Coordinate with various agencies and organizations to optimize the use of resources and support systems.
- Adhere to all HIPAA, OSHA, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of one year of experience in behavioral health or at least six months of direct crisis experience, including screenings and assessments for appropriate interventions; or a combination of education and experience that provides a comparable background.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A BS/BA degree in a mental health or related human services field, with two years of experience working directly with individuals requiring behavioral health services is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a call center environment is also preferred.
