Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong technical expertise while consistently producing precise work.
  • Review and evaluate financial statements, related disclosures, and work papers to ensure adherence to reporting standards and quality control measures.
  • Identify and address client concerns and conflicts, proactively communicating effective solutions.
  • Guide and support team members in the accurate and timely completion of tax returns, providing constructive feedback and conducting performance assessments periodically.
  • Establish and nurture robust relationships with clients, effectively managing multiple engagements concurrently.
  • Engage in networking and business development activities, fostering new client connections and recognizing opportunities to offer additional services to existing clients.
  • Oversee and mentor staff and senior accountants.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of public accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and various tax and accounting software.
  • Adept at handling sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, budgetary goals, and client expectations.
  • Highly organized, capable of prioritizing tasks, and possessing strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective in team management, providing guidance and facilitating staff development.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and GAAS principles and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • CPA certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting auditing.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
