Job Summary

The Sales Associate will play a key role in assisting customers, maintaining store appearance, and supporting store operations. This includes receiving, stocking, and pricing merchandise, as well as maintaining a clean and orderly store environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service:
    • Provide a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware to customers.
    • Proactively assist customers in solving problems and answer questions about products.
    • Greet customers entering and throughout the store, and thank them when finished and when they are leaving the store.
    • Possess a friendly and outgoing demeanor, and work well with customers and associates.
    • Ensure all customer inquiries and concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Store Operations:
    • Assist in creating a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
    • Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking merchandise throughout the store.
    • Assist with maintaining back stock levels and daily maintenance of the sales floor, stock room, and outdoor merchandise area.
    • Provide assistance to Department Specialists, such as price changes and special orders.
    • Ensure signage is current throughout the store.
    • Operate a forklift with proper training.

  • Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Formal retail experience preferred.
    • Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, and climb.

Compensation:

$12.75-$15 per hour.
