Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team at JPNDC Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and facilitating monthly events/activities for families in our Family Child Care system.

This is a full-time, salaried position with a generous benefit package. The salary range is $53,000 - $58,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role:

  • Plan and facilitate monthly events/activities for families in JPNDC's Family Child Care system.
  • Coordinate with the Family Nurturing Center, Walker School, and other partners to provide workshops.
  • Plan and conduct outreach strategies to recruit families and engage their participation.
  • Produce a monthly newsletter for parents.
  • Meet with newly enrolled families to inform them about activities and refer them to Family Prosperity Services.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with community resource agencies and other partners.
  • Maintain accurate records, enter client data into the database, and prepare reports.
  • Conduct visits to our educators' homes as needed.
  • Assist with coordination for back-up care and transportation as needed.

Requirements:

  • Flexible schedule, including occasional nights and weekend hours.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English or Haitian Creole and English.
  • Reliable car required.
  • Team player preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in early childhood education, family support, and/or engagement.
  • Experience planning/leading two-generation family-centered activities and interactive workshops for adults.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Early Education, Family Studies, Child Development, Psychology, Human Services, or related field.
