Senior Financial Analyst

As a Senior Accountant at MKS Instruments, you will play a key role in helping the team accumulate financial information for external reporting and management decision-making. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the financial close, preparing quarterly SEC Filings, and recommending continuous improvement ideas. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days/week in our Andover, MA office.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including footnotes, MD&A, and XBRL requirements.
- Prepare full sets of financial statements and schedules for earnings calls.
- Research technical accounting issues, including accounting standards and document conclusions.
- Support external and internal auditors for schedule requests and internal control testing.
- Assist with the annual goodwill impairment analysis.
- Other management projects and ad hoc reporting, as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of experience, with some public accounting experience preferred.
- Experience and ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to research and analyze data drawn from multiple sources to find problems and make effective recommendations.
- Excellent organization and analytical skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and with all levels of management throughout the organization.
- Public Accounting background or CPA required.
- Experience/Knowledge of Hyperion Enterprise/HFM, Oracle/SAP, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Prior experience working in an external financial reporting role a plus.
