Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled LPN-Expanded II to join our team at Baptist Memorial Health Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care as directed by the professional registered nurse and take ownership of your actions under their direction.
  • Administer intravenous therapy according to state board of nursing rules, regulations, and position statements.
  • Develop and maintain a caring relationship with patients, preserving and protecting their autonomy, dignity, and rights.
  • Communicate and collaborate with professional registered nurses to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Collect patient data and assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and perform intravenous therapy according to state board of nursing rules and regulations.
  • Provide and reinforce teaching to individuals and groups of patients, promoting health and wellness.
  • Participate in activities designed to improve healthcare delivery and ongoing educational activities.
  • Meet assigned goals and requirements, including education, licensure, and certification.
Requirements
  • Education: AR - meets minimum IV therapy training requirements according to BON, TN - 6 months experience required and successful completion of intravenous therapy training according to BON, MS - successful completion of education and training provided by an IV integrated accredited nursing program or Board approved IV therapy course.
  • Licensure, Registration, Certification: BLS certification within 14 days of hire, LPN licensure.
  • Special Skills: Computer literacy.
