Job Summary

As a LPN-Expanded II, you will provide high-quality patient care as directed by the professional registered nurse and be accountable for your actions under this direction. You will administer intravenous therapy according to state board of nursing rules, regulations, and position statements. You will provide a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing and delivers care in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity, and rights.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate and collaborate with professional registered nurses to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Collect patient data and assist in planning patient care to meet individual needs.
  • Assist in implementing patient care as directed and evaluate the plan of care to ensure effectiveness.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and perform intravenous therapy according to state board of nursing rules and regulations.
  • Provide and reinforce teaching to individuals and groups of patients to promote health and wellness.
  • Participate in activities designed to improve healthcare delivery and participate in ongoing educational activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Complete assigned goals and meet performance expectations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of AR meets minimum IV therapy training requirements according to BON, TN - 6 months experience required and successful completion of intravenous therapy training according to BON, MS - successful completion of education and training provided by an IV integrated accredited nursing program or Board approved IV therapy course. You must also have BLS certification within 14 days of hire and LPN licensure. Additionally, you must have computer literacy and excellent communication skills.
