LPN-Expanded II Nurse

As a LPN-Expanded II, you will provide high-quality patient care as directed by the professional registered nurse and take ownership of your actions under their guidance. You will administer intravenous therapy according to state board of nursing rules and regulations, and provide a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing, preserving and protecting patient autonomy, dignity, and rights.
Responsibilities- Communicate and collaborate with professional registered nurses to ensure seamless patient care.
- Collect and analyze patient data to inform care decisions.
- Assist in planning and implementing patient care as directed.
- Assist with evaluating the plan of care and making adjustments as needed.
- Administer medication and intravenous medications according to state board of nursing rules and regulations.
- Perform intravenous therapy according to state board of nursing rules and regulations.
- Provide and reinforce teaching to individuals and groups of patients.
- Participate in activities designed to improve healthcare delivery and ongoing educational activities.
- Complete assigned goals and objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Education: AR - meets minimum IV therapy training requirements according to BON, TN - 6 months experience required and successful completion of intravenous therapy training according to BON, MS - successful completion of education and training provided by an IV integrated accredited nursing program or Board-approved IV therapy course.
- Licensure, Registration, Certification: BLS certification within 14 days of hire, LPN licensure.
- Special Skills: Computer literacy.
