STEM Educator for Elementary and Middle School Students

The Jumping Jungle is seeking a highly motivated and experienced STEM Instructor to join our team. As a STEM Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching Snapology programs to children aged 2-14, promoting creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while educating students on STEM concepts.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead groups of up to 24 students through curriculum-guided activities;
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment;
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures;
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of The Jumping Jungle;
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies;
- Adequately prepare for each program by reading curriculum, watching training videos, and/or participating in face-to-face training sessions;
- Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs;
- Encourage students and parents to enroll students in future Snapology programs;
- Participate in periodic Snapology training and staff meetings as required.
- Criminal and child clearances must be current;
- 2 or more years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment;
- Education degree or teaching experience recommended, teachers pursuing a degree in education will also be considered for this position;
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others;
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
- Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
- After-school and/or evening classes (September – May): 1-2 hours in length, occurring between 2:30pm-5:00pm, Monday-Friday;
- Evening classes: 1-2 hours in length, occurring between 5:00pm-9:00pm, Monday-Friday;
- Summer camps (June – August): 1.5-7 hours in length, occurring between 9am-4pm, Monday-Friday;
- Other camps and workshops (Holiday Break, Spring Break, In-Service Days): 1.5-7 hours in length, occurring between 9am-4pm, Monday-Friday;
- Special events: 1-8 hours in length, occurring anytime.
