Housekeeper/Laundry Supervisor Job Summary

Aperion Care is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundry Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness and comfort of our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules to ensure a clean and safe environment for residents and staff
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Clean and sanitize all areas of the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, and laundry facilities
  • Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stored
  • Develop and implement procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous waste and chemicals
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure that resident rooms are cleaned and prepared for new residents
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and safe
  • Develop and implement procedures for reporting and addressing any incidents or accidents
  • Ensure that all staff members are aware of and follow company policies and procedures related to housekeeping and laundry

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or laundry supervisory role
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) and push/pull heavy equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday
  • Ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
  • Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
