Veterinary Client Service Representative
Client Service Team
Location: Annapolis, Maryland
Minimum Experience: Mid-level
Compensation: $15/hour+
This is a full-time, hourly role with shifts scheduled monthly based on the needs of the clinic.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Client Service Team (CST) Member plays a crucial role in our veterinary practice by:
- Welcoming and registering clients and their pets upon arrival.
- Evaluating the urgency of each patient's condition to prioritize care effectively.
- Communicating treatment plans and associated costs clearly to clients.
- Facilitating payment processing and managing a multi-line phone system.
- Directing calls to the appropriate personnel and providing assistance to clients over the phone.
- Maintaining accurate medical records by batching and scanning into our electronic database.
- Coordinating communication between referring veterinarians and emergency staff.
- Educating clients about their pets' health issues and providing support to those in distress.
This position includes significant administrative responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in advanced customer service roles is essential.
- Candidates should demonstrate a cheerful demeanor, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities are necessary, along with well-developed interpersonal skills.
NOTE: This is a 24-hour emergency clinic operating every day of the year. Employees must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays without exception. If you have scheduling constraints, this position may not be suitable for you.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications, starting at $15/hour+.
A shift differential of 25% per hour applies for hours worked between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m.
