Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Compliance Testing Specialist to join our team at Bertrandt. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of powertrain systems within vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute processes for large-scale certification testing projects involving emissions and OBD.
  • Validate released or soon-to-be-released software for the US market, focusing on light-duty gasoline, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles.
  • Collaborate with workshop and lab personnel to prepare vehicles for Chassis Dyno and PEMS testing.
  • Plan and conduct PEMS/Dyno testing of gasoline or diesel powertrains, covering combustion, emissions control/OBD, and EV range testing.
  • Analyze issues and discuss countermeasures in a team setting.
  • Support emissions or OBD testing activities and coordinate overall emission or OBD validation projects.
  • Review AECD documents and conduct vehicle testing to validate AECD functionality.
Requirements
  • Strong project coordination skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with vehicle testing activities.
  • Basic understanding of powertrain technologies and regulations (combustion and EV powertrain).
  • Proficiency with data acquisition and development tools/languages such as INCA, MATLAB, and/or Python.
  • Ability to author clear and concise technical reports for a global audience.
  • Bachelor's degree or 2-5 years' of related experience.
