Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled Aerospace Vehicle Simulation Specialist to spearhead the advancement of next-generation defense technologies, including unmanned aerial systems, missile systems, and sophisticated weaponry. This position requires a highly proficient individual capable of developing and executing multidisciplinary simulation models that will enhance the design, efficacy, and dependability of our products in intricate operational scenarios.

Key Duties:

  1. Modeling and Simulation: Create mathematical models and software simulations to evaluate and validate aerodynamic performance, propulsion systems, and vehicle guidance, navigation, and control capabilities under realistic scenarios, facilitating rapid assessment of performance and design trade-offs.
  2. Flight Testing: Collaborate with hardware and software teams, participating in flight tests for data acquisition and system validation to establish a swift vehicle prototyping and design iteration optimization process.
  3. Data Analysis: Examine flight test and simulation results to evaluate system-level performance and recommend modifications to vehicle design, operational mission profiles, engine performance, guidance algorithms, and flight envelopes.
  4. Collaboration: Engage closely with cross-disciplinary teams, including electrical, mechanical, aerodynamic, propulsion, and software engineers, to ensure that the overall product architecture fulfills performance criteria.
  5. Documentation: Maintain thorough records of vehicle performance assessments, concepts of operations, designs, algorithms, and test outcomes for internal evaluation and compliance with regulatory standards.
  6. Quality Assurance: Guarantee that all vehicle performance-related modeling and simulation activities adhere to industry and defense safety and reliability standards.
  7. Troubleshooting: Provide expertise in diagnosing and resolving challenges that emerge during the development, testing, or operational phases.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in flight vehicle design and development.
  • Proficiency in simulation or software development tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C++, or Rust.
  • Experience in developing continuous integration and continuous deployment frameworks and automation.
  • Expertise in first principles physics-based model development.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field.
  • Experience with numerical methods such as ordinary differential equations and optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of aerodynamics and flight vehicle stability and control.
  • Experience with jet turbine engine modeling and performance analysis.
  • Familiarity with defense industry standards and regulations.
  • Possession of security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
