About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join the Propulsion Engineering team at Relativity Space, a pioneering company in additive manufacturing and aerospace technology. As a Senior Propulsion Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and testing of our Aeon R engine systems.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing test plans for propulsion test articles, including combustion devices, valves, and heat exchangers
  • Collaborating with product owners to design and test new engine subsystems
  • Leading exploratory operations to evaluate test hardware behavior and support continuous engine development and certification
  • Supporting engine subsystem troubleshooting and partner team product investigations
  • Participating in stage test and flight campaigns as the vehicle development program progresses

This role requires a strong background in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, as well as experience with test operations environments. A bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, technology, or mathematics field is required, along with 5+ years of relevant experience in a complex engineering system development and/or test environment.
