Senior Propulsion Test Engineer, Combustion Devices Specialist

This is a unique opportunity to join the Propulsion Engineering team at Relativity Space, where you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing combustion devices for our Terran R launch vehicle.
As a Senior Propulsion Test Engineer, you will work closely with our team to develop test plans, execute test campaigns, and troubleshoot engine subsystems.
You will have the opportunity to own projects and increase our collective efficiency, while also contributing to the development of our Aeon R engine systems.
This role requires strong technical skills, including experience with fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.
We are looking for a self-starter who is passionate about aerospace technology and additive manufacturing, and who is eager to make a significant impact on our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and test combustion devices for our Terran R launch vehicle
- Develop test plans and execute test campaigns with our Stennis team
- Troubleshoot engine subsystems and identify areas for improvement
- Own projects and increase our collective efficiency
- Collaborate with our team to develop our Aeon R engine systems
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a complex engineering system development and/or test environment
- Experience with combustion devices, valves, heat exchangers, or instrumentation
- Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, technology, or mathematics field
- Strong technical skills, including experience with fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
