Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and stock inventory items, including vendor purchases, components, finished products, and assemblies.
- Record inventory transactions in our ERP system in a timely and accurate manner.
- Pack and unpack items for storage on shelves.
- Execute and facilitate inventory transfers, adjustments, and discrepancies across all business units.
- Pull parts for retail customers, as well as the Fabrication and Installation Departments.
- Verify inventory by comparing data to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors; conduct inventory counts/audits.
- Determine reorder points and create orders for items in need of reorder.
- Create and maintain proper storage and organization methods of products based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas; order and organize shipping supplies.
- Assist the department in all other tasks as needed, including keeping their workspace tidy.
Requirements:
- Clerical: Knowledge of clerical procedures and systems.
- Communication: Native/bilingual or professional fluency in English required, regarding both expression and comprehension in reading, writing, and speaking.
- Critical Thinking: Using reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Information Ordering, Spatial Organization, & Attention to Detail: Ability to arrange objects in a certain order according to specific rules; ability to notice minute differences in products, etc.
- Mathematics: Knowledge of arithmetic and ability to use addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Problem Sensitivity & Solving: Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong; furthermore, ability to follow procedure to solve problems.
- Social Skills: Ability to work with others one-on-one and in teams of various sizes; service orientation, social perceptiveness.
- Machinery: Ability to safely and properly use forklifts and other equipment to facilitate movement of product into and out of warehouse.
- Technology: Ability to use Windows-based ERP programs. Knowledge of specific electronics will be acquired via on-the-job training as needed.
- Time Management & Punctuality: Managing one's own time and adhering to deadlines within the department; adhering to attendance protocol.
- Versatility: Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school completion/diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Work Experience: 1+ year(s) of experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, and/or warehouse preferred.
- Valid drivers license required.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
