As a Retail Associate, your primary responsibilities will include product merchandising, inventory management, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

You will play a crucial role in enhancing the shopping experience for customers by collaborating effectively with the ALDI team and delivering outstanding customer service.

Position Type:
Full-Time

Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week

Starting Wage:
$17.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
All tasks must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Handle customer transactions, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays effectively.
Deliver exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers throughout their experience.
Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with store management.
Provide constructive feedback to management regarding products, inventory discrepancies, scanning errors, and general operational issues.
Participate in inventory counts as per guidelines and ensure inventory accuracy.
Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures to minimize losses.
Comply with all established company policies and procedures while maintaining the security and confidentiality of sensitive information.
Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:


Ability to stock merchandise from delivery to shelving; capable of placing products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights.

Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and navigate the store.
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for this role at ALDI.
Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
Proficient in operating a cash register efficiently and accurately.
Ability to safely and effectively use equipment, including electric/manual hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers.
Capable of performing general cleaning duties to meet company standards.
Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions while multitasking efficiently.
Meet any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in a retail setting is preferred.
A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
