Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced nurse educator to join our faculty team in the Department of Clinical Health Professions at St. John's University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching clinical and didactic courses in our planned traditional 4-year baccalaureate nursing program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach didactic and clinical courses in Fundamentals of Nursing, as well as other areas of nursing education, such as health assessment, nursing research, and pathophysiology.
  • Develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and evaluations to ensure student learning outcomes.
  • Participate in program recruitment, student advisement, and mentorship.
  • Evaluate student achievement of course objectives related to nursing knowledge and clinical practice.
  • Assume other responsibilities or duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, or DNP) preferred.
  • Master's degree in nursing required.
  • Current clinical experience and national certification in specialty area of focus preferred.
  • Current licensure in good standing as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New York or eligibility for RN licensure in New York state.
  • Experience teaching baccalaureate nursing students and academic leadership.
