Adecco US, Inc. is partnering with a local manufacturer to identify a skilled assembler to become part of their production team, which specializes in in-flight entertainment systems for numerous leading airlines globally.
Position Overview:
This role is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Shift hours: 8 AM - 5 PM, with potential overtime.
Compensation:
Hourly rate: $20.00
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct basic electro-mechanical assembly tasks.
- Assemble antenna products according to manufacturing specifications and instructions.
- Build prototype assemblies based on detailed engineering documentation.
- Ensure quality control by validating workmanship and inspecting previous assembly operations to meet or exceed production targets.
- Perform a variety of assembly operations, including rework, while understanding the functional operation of assembled items and the final product.
- Oversee quality assurance activities, including self-inspection.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to assemble prototypes from written guidelines.
- Utilize various hand tools, such as screwdrivers and torque wrenches, and operate basic testing equipment.
- Conduct basic functional tests, including dielectric, bonding, and continuity tests.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- At least two years of assembly and testing experience.
- Familiarity with hand tools and calibrated equipment (e.g., torque drivers, wrenches).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in computer usage for accessing and managing documentation.
- Experience with SAP or similar MRP systems is preferred.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced work environment.
- Commitment to maintaining quality and productivity standards.
- Reliable attendance and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow detailed instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Frequent use of manual and electric tools, requiring repetitive hand and foot movements.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
