We are looking for a Cybersecurity Architect to play a crucial role in ensuring that cybersecurity requirements are integrated seamlessly into system architecture, producing cyber-resilient security solutions for our air and weapon systems.

The selected candidate will collaborate with subject matter experts, participate in design reviews, and provide security expertise to ensure cybersecurity considerations are addressed early in the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in architecture and design initiatives focused on embedded cyber capability for avionics platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Cyber Architect and software engineers to ensure security requirements are properly defined, decomposed, allocated, assessed, and implemented into robust and cyber-resilient design solutions.
  • Utilize and tailor reference architecture models/tools to support the design and development of embedded capability.
  • Develop detailed designs for specific installations and configurations of embedded-type capability on legacy and NextGen avionics architectures.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment within the engineering team.
  • Establish mission goals, plan tasks, and prioritize objectives to drive efficient execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in cybersecurity engineering with a focus on system architecture.
  • Strong understanding of model-based engineering methods and their application to cybersecurity engineering.
  • Experience with developing detailed designs for embedded capability on avionics platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve mission goals and objectives.
