Medsurg Registered Nurse

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medical Surgical Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working independently and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive plan of care that meets the needs of our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to deliver developmentally appropriate care to patients, ensuring their safety, effectiveness, and comfort.
- Collaborate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement an appropriate plan of care, promoting the best patient outcomes.
- Provide education and facilitate learning for patients, families, and patient care team members, demonstrating a sensitivity to recognize, appreciate, and incorporate differences related to diversity.
- Advocate for patients, representing their concerns and identifying and assisting in resolving ethical and clinical concerns.
- Accurately and thoroughly document all patient encounters, ensuring the protection and security of Patient Health Information (PHI).
- Adhere to all infection prevention initiatives, delivering competent and skilled care to patients and families according to their identified needs.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license.
- Basic EKG course within one year of hire.
- Current AHA BLS Certification.
- Current AHA ACLS Certification.
- Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Master's degree).
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
