Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medsurg team, working nights. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process to ensure developmentally appropriate care. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive plan of care that meets the needs of our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process to ensure developmentally appropriate care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive plan of care that meets the needs of our patients and their families.
- Utilize critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills to develop an appropriate plan of care for patients.
- Provide education and facilitate learning for patients, families, and patient care team members.
- Collaborate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to assist in developing and implementing an appropriate plan of care.
- Advocate for patients, representing their concerns and identifying and assisting in resolving ethical and clinical concerns.
- Accurately and thoroughly document all patient encounters.
- Ensure that Patient Health Information (PHI) is protected and secured at all times.
- Adhere to all infection prevention initiatives.
- Deliver competent and skilled care to patients and families according to their identified needs.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license.
- Basic EKG course within one year of hire.
- Current AHA BLS Certification.
- Current AHA ACLS Certification.
- Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Master's degree).
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
