Medsurg Registered Nurse Days

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medsurg team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care and work independently to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide developmentally appropriate care to patients, utilizing the nursing process to ensure high-quality care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive plan of care that meets the needs of patients and their families.
- Utilize critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills to develop and implement an appropriate plan of care.
- Provide education and facilitate learning for patients, families, and patient care team members.
- Advocate for patients and represent their concerns to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Accurately and thoroughly document all patient encounters.
- Ensure the protection and security of Patient Health Information (PHI) at all times.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license.
- Basic EKG course within one year of hire.
- Current AHA BLS Certification.
- Current AHA ACLS Certification.
- Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Master's degree).
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
