Position Summary:

The HVAC Service Technician is tasked with operating autonomously or collaboratively within a team, focusing on the installation, initiation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of commercial HVACR systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage existing accounts by reviewing work orders, planning travel schedules, addressing complaints, conducting tests, and resolving issues.
  • Establish service protocols by assessing system requirements, procuring necessary components, executing installations, and performing acceptance testing.
  • Enhance customer relationships by analyzing complaints, identifying solutions, recommending improvements, and suggesting system enhancements.
  • Ensure personal equipment is functional by adhering to operating guidelines, troubleshooting issues, maintaining supplies, and requesting repairs as needed.
  • Document service and installation activities through forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Safeguard customer confidentiality by maintaining service information privacy.
  • Stay updated on industry knowledge through educational opportunities and professional literature.
  • Contribute to the organization's mission by achieving related results as required.
  • This job description does not encompass all duties; the Service Technician may perform additional tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in a service vehicle performing HVAC contractor work and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
  • Preferred experience with VRF systems.
  • Desired knowledge of BAS/DDC Controls.
  • Possession of personal tools is required.
  • Reliability and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening, including background checks and drug testing.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be capable of handling and lifting standard tools for HVAC service work. Regular duties include standing, using hands and fingers, and communicating effectively. Frequent activities involve walking, reaching, and bending. Occasional sitting is required. The ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally more than 50 pounds with assistance is necessary. Specific vision capabilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to assist individuals in performing essential job functions.

Education and Experience:

A Technician's Degree or equivalent from a Technical/Trade School with certification in HVAC, alongside five years of related experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills is required.
