Position Summary:

The HVAC Service Technician will operate autonomously or collaboratively within a team, undertaking the installation, initiation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintenance of commercial HVACR systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support existing clients by evaluating work orders, planning daily travel, addressing complaints, conducting tests, and resolving issues.

  • Foster customer relationships by addressing complaints, identifying solutions, recommending enhancements, and suggesting system improvements.
  • Ensure personal equipment is operational by adhering to operating instructions, troubleshooting issues, maintaining supplies, and requesting repairs when necessary.
  • Document service and installation activities through forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Maintain customer trust by safeguarding service information confidentiality.
  • Enhance job knowledge through participation in educational opportunities and professional literature.
  • Contribute to operational and organizational goals by achieving related results as required.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in a service vehicle performing HVAC contractor service work and the ability to collaborate with a team.
  • Experience with VRF systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of BAS/DDC Controls is desirable.
  • Possession of personal tools is required.
  • Reliability and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening, including background checks and drug testing.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be capable of handling and lifting standard tools associated with air conditioning service work. The role requires regular standing, using hands and fingers, handling or feeling, and effective communication. Frequent walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling is also necessary. Occasional sitting is required, and the ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally more than 50 pounds with assistance is essential. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform essential job functions.

Education and Experience:

A Technician's Degree or equivalent from a Technical/Trade School with a certificate in HVAC, coupled with five (5) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills is expected.
