Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to the established dress code consistently.
  • Effectively manage the personal cash drawer, including opening, closing, and balancing, while following all monetary handling protocols.
  • Develop proficiency in the Point of Sales system to ensure efficient transaction processing within the first three months of employment.
  • Ensure a tidy work environment at the cash register and throughout the store, which includes cleaning, organizing, and restocking as necessary.
  • Exhibit a welcoming attitude by greeting customers and offering assistance as needed.
  • Comply with all organizational policies regarding merchandise sales.
  • Keep store shelves stocked and display new merchandise to meet daily production targets.
  • Be available for a flexible work schedule, which may include full-time or part-time hours, as well as evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Additional Information

The following requirements represent the minimum education, experience, skills, and/or abilities necessary for this position.

Educational Background:

High School Diploma or currently pursuing.

(Education level) plus X years of relevant experience. A higher degree is preferred but not mandatory.

OR

Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Skills and Abilities:

Proficient in speaking, writing, and understanding English to communicate effectively with customers, management, and colleagues.

Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with the Point of Sales System and other programs utilized by the organization.

Ability to provide accurate change.

Good auditory, visual, and manual dexterity capabilities.

Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Physical Demands:

While fulfilling the responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands, handle or feel, and communicate verbally. The employee frequently walks and reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally, the employee may need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The work setting for this position is a retail environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. The atmosphere may be dusty and subject to temperature variations based on external weather conditions.
