Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team at TEKsystems. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for installing, decommissioning, and maintaining network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Decommissioning: Install and decommission network and cabling infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and minimal downtime.
  • Sustainable Solutions: Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement and efficiency.
  • Project Feedback: Provide structured feedback on project progress to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Quality Workmanship: Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain Data Center cleanliness, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies, including copper and fiber cable testing and troubleshooting.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge and use of basic telecom hand tools, clear understanding of job safety requirements, and ability to read and understand floor plans.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Education and Certifications: Relevant education and certifications in Data Center infrastructure technologies, such as CompTIA or Cisco certifications.
