Strategic Marketing Operations Lead

We are currently seeking a Strategic Marketing Operations Lead for a leading non-profit organization in Washington, DC. This is a 12-month consulting opportunity with a hybrid schedule that supports remote work on Monday and Friday and on-site Tuesday through Thursday in the Washington, DC office.
The Strategic Marketing Operations Lead coordinates the project management of individual stakeholder teams across the enterprise. They do not directly manage technical teams. Business teams are usually comprised of creative ideators.
About the Role:
- Responsible for the Management and Implementation of Marketing Projects: The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and implementation of marketing projects from start to finish.
- Orchestrate Stakeholder Teams: They will orchestrate internal and external stakeholder teams to ensure the timely completion of project objectives and scope.
- Establish Project Workspace and Communication Plans: The candidate will establish project workspace and communication plans to ensure all stakeholders are informed regarding project status, issues, and impacts.
- Manage to Milestones: They will manage projects to milestones rather than tasks.
- Collaborate with Management: Collaborate with management to identify opportunities to streamline processes and develop new procedures that support the business unit/department.
- No Budget Stewardship Responsibilities: No budget stewardship responsibilities are associated with this role.
Qualifications:
- Senior Project Managers with Experience: Senior Project Managers with experience managing technical and non-technical projects, preferably in marketing-related subjects.
- Soft Skills: Soft skills are critical, including the ability to lead through influence rather than direct authority and balancing when to push the team and when to be flexible.
- Ability to Manage Ambiguity: Ability to manage and lead through ambiguity.
- Project Management Applications: Proficiency in project management applications such as Confluence, Jira, Smartsheet, and SharePoint.
- Independent Worker: The role requires the ability to think proactively, collaborate with many levels of staff, innovate as needed, and be an independent worker.
- PMP Certification: Effective project management skills are crucial; PMP certification is preferred.
- Cross-Functional Team Experience: Prior experience working with cross-functional teams on complex projects is required.
$120,000 - $150,000 per year
