In the capacity of an Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the electrical design team for significant institutional and industrial projects during the schematic design and contract documentation phases.
  • Organizing meetings and engaging in reviews with various regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Managing workload to ensure timely completion of project documentation.
  • Conducting collaborative work sessions at project sites alongside the Project Manager and other disciplines.
  • Reviewing electrical documentation to identify conflicts across all disciplines.
  • Drafting and editing electrical specifications while selecting appropriate equipment, systems, and devices.
  • Coordinating with and supporting other disciplines regarding addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders, ensuring that agreed changes are incorporated into project documents.
  • Providing construction contract administration as required.
  • Performing quality assurance and quality control on the work of fellow Electrical Engineers, Coordinators, or Technicians.
  • Executing additional duties as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design for buildings (lighting, power, systems).
  • Prior experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm is preferred.
  • Interest or experience in sustainable design/LEED is advantageous but not mandatory.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical focus.
  • Prior experience in electrical design for buildings (lighting, power, systems).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficient computer skills in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and EasyPower.
