We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Public Health Nurse to join our team at the City of Columbus. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing nursing services to Franklin County residents confirmed with or thought to have tuberculosis (TB).
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing services to patients in an outpatient setting, including physical assessment, medication administration, treatment monitoring, and laboratory specimen collection.
- Coordinate medical care and social services with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Develop and implement care plans for patients with TB, including directly observed therapy (DOT) and ongoing evaluation of patient status.
- Collaborate with community resources to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
- Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and services.
- Possession of a valid State of Ohio license as a Registered Nurse or a valid Temporary Permit to practice nursing issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
- Some positions may require additional specialized training.
