Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Exercise Physiologist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our Cardiac Rehabilitation department, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based exercise therapy to patients with cardiovascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement exercise prescriptions for patients with cardiovascular conditions
  • Conduct exercise testing and assessments to determine patient needs
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to resolve medical issues and improve patient outcomes
  • Provide patient education on disease management, safe exercise principles, and risk factor modification
  • Document all aspects of exercise therapy in the medical record
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, medical directors, and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field
  • Master's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred
  • Completion of a clinical internship preferred
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of patients and their guests
  • Ability to efficiently and calmly deal with in-person interactions, telephone calls, and email correspondence
