Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse RN to join our Skilled Nursing/Sub Acute Unit team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support the Mercyhealth nursing mission, practice values, and strategic plan.

Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.
  • Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care, as prescribed by physicians and/or clinic policy.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities and shared governance.
  • Utilize clinical expertise to support other units and departments in patient care.
  • Escalate patient safety and experience concerns to the appropriate chain of command.
  • Participate in peer review and professional nursing continuum processes.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to practice issues.
  • Develop and implement plans of care using creative methods and intuitive skills.
  • Provide patient and family education using innovative approaches.
  • Initiate interdisciplinary collaboration to meet patient and family educational needs.

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • BSN or ADN with Professional Nursing Certification or ADN/Diploma RN with 5 years of RN experience.
  • 3 years of RN experience required.
  • Licensed as an RN in the state of practice.
  • Approved CPR certification within 90 days.
  • 20 hours of continued education.

RN Clinic and Ambulatory RN's:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
