Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Subacute Unit team at Mercy Health System. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient plans of care, in collaboration with physicians and clinic policies.
  • Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
  • Utilize clinical expertise to support other units and departments in patient care.
  • Escalate patient safety concerns to the appropriate chain of command.
  • Participate in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities, and peer review.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or be enrolled in an accredited BSN Completion Program.
  • Have a valid RN license in the state of practice.
  • Obtain approved CPR certification within 90 days.
  • Complete 10 hours of continuing education.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a moderate noise level environment, with occasional exposure to patient care information.

Age of Patients Served

This role involves caring for patients across various age groups, including neonates, infants, children, adults, and geriatrics.
