Job Summary

Mercy Health System is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Skilled Nursing/Sub Acute Unit. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, administering medications, treatments, and performing various nursing procedures as prescribed by physicians and clinic policies.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient plans of care, ensuring patient and family education and instruction.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to achieve patient-centered care goals, participating in department or unit performance improvement activities.
  • Utilize critical thinking and clinical expertise to identify and escalate patient safety concerns, promoting a culture of excellence in patient care.
  • Participate in shared governance, peer review, and professional nursing continuum processes, contributing to the development of innovative care solutions.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • BSN or upon hire BSN completion agreement for enrollment in an accredited BSN Completion Program, or ADN with Professional Nursing Certification or ADN/Diploma RN with 5 years of RN experience.
  • 3 years of RN experience required.
  • Licensed as an RN in state of practice.
  • Approved CPR certification required within 90 days.
  • 20 hours of continued education.

RN Hospital, RN Home Health and Hospice, RN Oncology: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

RN Clinic and Ambulatory RN's: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
