Marketing Manager, Goodreads

As the Principal Marketing Manager, Goodreads, you will be responsible for driving engagement and revenue through content/product marketing. You will define the strategic direction and priorities for Marketing and set goals that contribute to the overall growth of Goodreads and Amazon Books.
Key Responsibilities- Define the goals, strategy, and measurement for marketing initiatives to drive Goodreads business goals as well as identify opportunities that support the overall goals for Books.
- Deliver written narratives that clearly communicate marketing strategy, business results, and future opportunities.
- Embrace a data-driven test-and-learn approach to refine new marketing approaches and channels to reach and engage key audiences.
- Develop detailed campaign project plans, creative briefs, and digital strategies, including campaign goals, messaging, calls to action, segmentation strategy, adoption campaigns, marketing distribution channels, and campaign schedule.
- Drive improvements to processes, reporting, and analytics with an eye towards automation.
- Drive insights and learnings cross-functionally on campaign performance, including best practices and recommendations for both copy and creative.
- Set strategy for email program as well as project manage email campaigns, implementing the appropriate feedback and approval process, ensuring accuracy of copy, segmentation, etc., and timely deployment.
- Advocate for tech initiatives to optimize growth and performance, partnering with Product Management and Tech teams to analyze opportunity size and get buy-in for ideas.
- Stay abreast of industry trends in email/push marketing, CRM, and marketing automation, including new opportunities within Amazon Owned & Operated channels.
- 9+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
