Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Full-Time Overnight Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our emergency and surgical department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our patients and providing exceptional care to our clients.
Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians in managing and treating emergency cases with precision and urgency.
- Perform animal restraint, administer medications, and assist in surgeries, including anesthesia monitoring.
- Perform X-rays and other technical tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure proper documentation of patient information.
- Collaborate with coworkers to ensure the well-being of our animal patients and provide excellent customer service to pet owners.
- Be proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in veterinary emergency care and/or surgical assistance.
- Previous experience as a veterinary technician, including familiarity with emergency procedures and dog handling.
- Ability to handle animal restraint and perform tasks such as kennel management.
- Knowledge of X-ray procedures and animal catheterization techniques.
- Strong computer skills for electronic record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
