Summary/Objective

Our organization is seeking an Inside Sales Parts Consultant to effectively engage with our clientele. In this role, you will be responsible for selling parts to all available customers while identifying new sales opportunities by understanding each customer's unique challenges and requirements.

Building valued customer relationships is essential in every interaction. A minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment, truck, or automotive parts counter sales is required. Some responsibilities may involve tasks in our Warehouse.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in selecting necessary parts and recommend companion parts or add-ons, ensuring customers are informed about the complete product line.
  • Support Field Technicians in identifying parts needed for ongoing repairs and ensure parts requisitions are submitted.
  • Consult catalogs or computer displays to ascertain replacement part stock numbers and pricing.
  • Advise customers on substitutions or modifications when identical replacements are unavailable.
  • Determine required replacement parts based on inspections of old parts, customer requests, or descriptions of malfunctions.
  • Seek opportunities to deepen customer understanding and establish working relationships.
  • Receive and fulfill telephone orders for parts.
  • Prepare quotes and sales invoices.
  • Process payments or obtain credit authorization.
  • Organize orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues - Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Proficient in calculating figures and amounts as discounts.
  • Capable of solving practical problems and managing various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Adept at interpreting a variety of instructions provided in written or oral form.
  • Skilled in prioritizing and completing multiple requests and responsibilities efficiently and timely.

Must possess strong phone and interpersonal skills. Proficient personal computer skills, including record keeping and routine data activities, are essential. The ability to handle stressful situations professionally and maintain a friendly demeanor while delivering excellent customer service is crucial. Routine housekeeping tasks to maintain and enhance the appearance of products and the sales area are expected. Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while being team-focused with a positive attitude and dedication to success and growth are highly valued.
