About This Position

Waystar is seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Product Manager to lead the development of our healthcare revenue cycle management solutions. As a key member of our product team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering products that simplify healthcare payments and improve financial outcomes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze product inputs, customer requirements, and market trends to design solution architectures and develop business cases for new product development

• Prepare software design plans, including product specifications, use case documentation, and user interface wireframes, in collaboration with our User Experience team

• Conduct market research, analyzing customer segments, reviewing industry research reports, and assessing competitors' strengths and weaknesses to define new opportunities

• Stay up-to-date on industry changes and compliance issues, including healthcare industry standards

• Gather customer feedback through user tests, customer support incidents, user surveys, and customer visits to study product interaction in their natural environment

• Work closely with internal and external resources to define system requirements that meet changing market needs and ensure customer satisfaction and product quality

• Collaborate with our Director of Product Management to coordinate with sales, marketing, development, and customer support to bring together divergent ideas and convince stakeholders to rally behind a single product vision

Requirements

• At least 2 years of software development experience, with a proven track record of leading the end-to-end build of medium-scale features or upgrades and bringing them to market

• Strong understanding of hospital and professional coding and billing workflows, as well as the provider reimbursement process, obtained through direct experience in a healthcare setting or an RCM-focused HIT company

• Significant contribution to a team that designed, built, or used Revenue Cycle Management products

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and design creative solutions

• Strong attention to detail, with an eye for usability and the customer experience

• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas through the written word

• Great people skills, with the ability to facilitate, negotiate, and persuade stakeholders

• Flexible and agile, with the ability to rapidly adapt to changing situations and inputs
