About This Position

Waystar is seeking a seasoned Senior Product Manager to lead cross-functional teams in developing innovative healthcare revenue cycle management solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building great products and a proven track record of driving strategic product initiatives.

This role will involve analyzing product inputs, customer requirements, and market trends to design solution architectures and develop business cases for new product development. The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing software design plans, organizing market research, and gathering customer feedback.

The Senior Product Manager will work closely with the User Experience team, Technology teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that products meet changing market needs and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing product inputs, customer requirements, and market trends to design solution architectures and develop business cases for new product development
  • Preparing software design plans, including product specifications, use case documentation, and user interface wireframes
  • Organizing market research, including analyzing customer segments, reviewing industry research reports, and assessing strengths and weaknesses of competitors
  • Gathering customer feedback through user tests, customer support incidents, user surveys, and visits to customers
  • Working closely with internal and external resources to define system requirements that meet changing market needs and ensure customer satisfaction and product quality
  • Assisting the Director of Product Management in coordinating with sales, marketing, development, and customer support to bring together divergent ideas and convince various stakeholders to rally behind a single product vision
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of software build experience and a proven track record of leading the end-to-end build of at least 2 medium-scale features/upgrades and bringing them to market
  • Understanding of hospital and professional coding and billing workflows and the provider reimbursement process, obtained either through direct experience in a healthcare setting or an RCM-focused HIT company
  • Significant contribution to a team that designed, built, or used Revenue Cycle Management products
  • Organizing market research, including analyzing customer segments and industry trends
  • Possess robust technical fundamentals, especially when it comes to building software
  • Problem-solving skills, able to analyze a problem and design creative solutions
  • Attention to detail, extraordinary eye for usability and the customer experience
  • Excellent written communication skills, able to succinctly convey complex ideas through the written word
  • Great people skills, able to facilitate, negotiate, and persuade stakeholders
  • Flexible and agile, able to rapidly adapt to changing situations and inputs
