Pipe Fitter Job Description

LaborOne Staffing is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to join our team at a Florida Shipyard. As a Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for removing, repairing, and installing marine piping systems, including Auxiliary Salt Water, Fire Main, Potable Water, Hydraulic, Compressed Air, Fuel Oil, Lube Oil, Engine Exhaust, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Remove, repair, and install marine piping systems
  • Provide direction to improvers and helpers
  • Work with drawings, specifications, and Navy/MSC/ABS standard items and manuals
  • Operate and care for equipment, portable power tools, and hand tools
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of pipefitting shipyard experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ship construction and marine piping systems
  • Ability to comprehend instructions, drawings, and general correspondence
  • Physical and medical ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
