Position Overview:
The Reservations Specialist plays a vital role in providing exceptional service in a dynamic sales and customer support environment. This position requires a friendly and efficient approach to assist all guests of Tamarack Resort. The primary responsibility is to facilitate the booking of accommodations and resort services for guests prior to their arrival.
The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of Tamarack's offerings, including current promotions and discounts, to ensure guests receive the best options for their stay. This includes accommodations, lift tickets, seasonal passes, rental gear, lessons, spa treatments, guided activities, and dining experiences.
Training: Comprehensive training in product knowledge, sales techniques, and system operations will be provided. Compensation includes an hourly wage along with commissions based on successful sales and error-free bookings. This role is seasonal, with potential for advancement within the department and the resort.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding service in line with Tamarack Resort's standards to guests, homeowners, and colleagues.
- Handle inbound communications via phone, email, and chat, while also reaching out to past guests to assist with their travel plans.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all resort products, events, discounts, and promotional offerings.
- Act as a sales representative, aligning guest needs with appropriate products and suggesting additional services whenever possible.
- Meet productivity and quality benchmarks by ensuring reservations are accurate and expectations are clearly communicated.
- Utilize the resort's point of sale and booking systems effectively.
- Adhere to scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays, while maintaining reliable attendance.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
- Conduct quality control on bookings made through various channels.
- Complete end-of-shift closing procedures as required.
- Provide guests with timely information regarding lift status, weather updates, and upcoming events.
- Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Foster positive relationships and rapport with Tamarack Resort guests.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are essential:
- A genuine enjoyment of interacting with guests and fellow team members.
- Prior experience in sales and customer service.
- Experience with Property Management Systems and Point-of-Sale systems is preferred.
- Ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
- Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Problem-solving skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
