Overview:
Spinwell is seeking an Education Funding Team Manager for a significant role within the public sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Education Funding Team Manager will establish and uphold financial systems related to Education Services.
This role is crucial in ensuring the Service meets all funding and payment obligations effectively.
Responsibilities include overseeing payment transactions for educational services and commissioning, as well as managing payments to schools and early years settings.
The position involves participating in the rollout of a new funding system for educational institutions, commencing in September, to guarantee accurate payments and foster confidence in the system among partners.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant degree or professional qualification, or substantial practical experience in a related field.
- Proven experience in educational, social care, or local government environments.
- Experience collaborating with education and/or social care professionals to enhance service delivery.
- Background in budget monitoring, management, and development.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences, including senior management and media.
- Skilled negotiator with realistic expectations of outcomes.
- Experience in supervising staff.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Quick learner with the capacity to assimilate and apply new information effectively.
- Consistently produces high-quality work.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering friendly and constructive communication.
- Capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
