Payroll Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to oversee the end-to-end payroll process for our client's workforce of over 150 employees. The successful candidate will have previous experience managing or supervising payroll operations and will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the payroll process from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll, including regular pay cycles, bonuses, and commissions.
- Lead a team of payroll specialists, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure proper classification of employees, including wage determination and benefits administration.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll processes to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Stay current on payroll regulations and industry trends, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in payroll software and systems (experience with ADP, Paychex, or similar preferred).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across the organization.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $36.00 to $39.00 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan.
