We are seeking an Adjunct Professor of Philosophy to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses, including introductory philosophy, ethics, and critical thinking. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to student engagement, instructional excellence, and academic integrity.

Responsibilities

- Teach a range of philosophy courses, including introductory philosophy, ethics, and critical thinking
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback
- Stay current with developments in the field of philosophy and incorporate new ideas into teaching

Requirements

- Master's degree in Philosophy or related field from a regionally accredited institution
- 18 graduate semester hours in Philosophy from a regionally accredited college/university
- At least one year of teaching experience at the college or university level
- Familiarity with interactive teaching methods and instruction via the internet
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment

Benefits

Alvin Community College offers a competitive salary range of $45,000-$65,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience. The college also provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid leave.
