Job Summary

Benesch is seeking a highly skilled Stormwater Project Engineer to join our team in Florida. As a key member of our civil engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing stormwater systems for transportation projects. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of these projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hydraulic and hydrology analyses and design for transportation projects
  • Prepare drainage reports in conformance with client and industry standards
  • Assist with plan production related to drainage design, stormwater management, and detention facilities
  • Contribute to project goals and milestones and monitor project progress
  • Assist in preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, studies, reports, construction drawings/plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of stormwater design and planning projects
  • Ensure the development of high-quality engineering documents
  • Adhere to all internal procedures for quality control, documentation, and project tracking
  • Assist with project pursuits
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
  • 4-9 years of transportation drainage experience
  • PE License preferred
  • A history of progressive responsibility in transportation/roadway drainage design
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • A track-record for adhering to design budgets and schedules
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize, work on, and advance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Thorough understanding of state, regional, and special district design standards (preferred)
  • Experience developing storm water management plans and water quality design/MS4 (preferred)
  • Experience with plan production related to transportation projects (preferred)
  • Experience developing deliverables per FDOT standards and requirements (preferred)
